Kay's Senior Portraits

We recently shot Kay's senior portraits. Kay has been going to Camp Cherith (in Hunt, on the southern tip of Letchworth State Park) for years. It is a place that holds a lot of happy memories for her, so when she and her mother started talking about senior portraits, there was no other place they even considered.

Even though Camp Cherith is more than an hour away from us, we were more than happy to travel so Kay could get exactly the pictures she wanted. We even got some pictures of Kay with her dog!

Here are our favorites from the day:

We started out at the massive tree at the far end of the camp:

As we made our way around the camp, we ventured out onto the dock (even though there was no lifeguard!!):

Kay's mom wanted some pictures of their dog running to Kay:

We also got some portraits of Kay with her dog:

Kay and her mom were so happy that they were able to get exactly what they wanted - which makes us happy too!

Angela's Senior Portraits (part 1)

This weekend we shot Angela's first senior portrait session. We had a blast! Angela loves nature and the outdoors, so we were able to have a lot of fun with our locations.

Angela really wanted to shoot at a barn, so that is where we started:

There was a corn field near our barn, so we stopped there on our way to our next location:

I loved the vintage feel in this photo, so I worked on the colors in the photo to better reflect the mood I was going for:

Then it was off to the banks of a canal:

We left the canal and went to the Flower Conservatory:

This photo is even nicer with a sepia tone:

We then went to the Poet's Garden:

The arch complimented Angela's features very well, so I used a select color treatment to emphasize her pretty blue eyes:

We found a big tree in the garden, and Angela climbed right up it! It made for some great shots:

This shot was perfect for showing off Angela's very unique, very cool class ring:

We finished off the day at the Sunken Gardens:

It was a very successful and productive day, and for once the weather was on our side! We can't wait to shoot with Angela again at the end of August!
