Quite a while back, I was given a very unique opportunity to do a shoot I had wanted to do since college. Given the considerable property damage it would entail, I had thought it would always just be a fun idea I had that would never actually get to be committed to film. However, a few years ago I happened to meet a guy who flips houses, and was willing to let me shoot inside a room that was going to be gutted.
I quickly assembled an AMAZING production crew, spent my entire paycheck at the hardware store, and ended up with these shots:
As Garrison Keillor would say, "Duct Tape - Are YOU Using Enough?"

Shayna's Trash The Dress Session
The last time we shot a Trash The Dress session, the weather was horrific - rainy and very cold (this happens to us sometimes). We recently shot another Trash The Dress session with our model Shayna, and we were pleasantly surprised that the weather did exactly what the forecast said it would. It was sunny all day! We went to Durand Eastman Park, and being right off of the water made the temperature just cool enough for Shayna to be comfortable in her adorable bridal cape!
Here are some of our favorites from the day:
We came across a pond, and Shayna and I decided to jump in! She tossed off her cape, and we climbed down the bank:
This is my favorite from the day:
If you would like to see more from Shayna's shoot, please go to our Flickr page
Be sure to stay tuned in the next few months, as we have FIVE Trash The Dress sessions booked for the fall!
If you would like us to shoot your Trash The Dress session (prom, wedding, or otherwise!), or any other portrait session, please email us at perezsisters@gmail.com

Cory and Kelly's Wedding
We recently had the distinct pleasure of shooting Cory and Kelly's wedding. Their outdoor location matched their personalities perfectly - fun and laid-back! It was a pleasure to work with them, and with their family and friends. Here are a few of our favorites of the day:
As always, we started with a casual coverage of the rehearsal:
I love this picture - when I was a teenager, we used to play this very game ("move the big guy by any means necessary!") with my brother all the time:
We started bright and early the next morning with the girls getting ready:
The ceremony was so pretty, and they could not have had better weather for it:
After the ceremony, we grabbed some portraits:
Then it was off to the party!
Kelly had asked Cory to spin her at the end of their first dance. To Kelly, this meant that dance move where you put your hands over the girl's head and lead her in a twirl. Cory, however, took a more literal approach:
While Cory and Kelly's ceremony was simple and sweet, their reception was all about fun - Kelly picked some amazing details:
Rock candy suckers for place cards:
A chocolate truffle cake:
Each table had different types of flowers in their own unique arrangement:
After the reception was well underway, we ran off with Cory and Kelly for some portraits of just the two of them:
Kelly really wanted a portrait with the cows, and so Cory indulged her:
Kelly really loves the ring that Cory gave her, and she wanted some really different and unique shots above and beyond the traditional ring shots:
Cory's mother had given him a pocket watch, and he wanted a picture of it displaying the date:
The night was capped off with sparklers on the lawn - a perfect ending to an amazing and beautiful day!
