Shayna's Trash The Dress Session

The last time we shot a Trash The Dress session, the weather was horrific - rainy and very cold (this happens to us sometimes). We recently shot another Trash The Dress session with our model Shayna, and we were pleasantly surprised that the weather did exactly what the forecast said it would. It was sunny all day! We went to Durand Eastman Park, and being right off of the water made the temperature just cool enough for Shayna to be comfortable in her adorable bridal cape!

We came across a pond, and Shayna and I decided to jump in! She tossed off her cape, and we climbed down the bank:

Pre-Prom Portraits in the Park 2009

Both Melinda and I have been swamped as of late with juggling work and finishing up the school year. But one thing we had to make time for was our annual Pre-Prom Portraits in the Park!

Like last year, we did portraits in the park before the prom, to give the kids from The Charles Finney school (where I teach) something that was different than the typical pictures you get at the prom. This year we chose Genesee Valley Park because it was close to the prom venue.

Dana's Senior Portraits (part 2)

Over the summer we shot Dana's first senior portrait session. Dana took full advantage of her two-session package, and cut and dyed her hair right before her second shoot!

Along with picking her locations, Dana decided that she wanted lots of artistic filters added to her pictures. We started out with some more traditional headshots-at least as traditional as we get!





I added an artistic treatment to make the colors pop:







This photo was perfect for a select color treatment to emphasize Dana's eyes:

We then went to the park:











At the park we hopped into a tube in the jungle gym. It's some of my favorite photos of Dana!

After the park, we went to a soccer field to get some portraits of Dana in her uniform:





I softened the photo by adding a vintage color treatment:







I added an artistic treatment to highlight the clouds in the sky:



I found a giant inflatable soccer ball, and it made the best accessory for these photos!



The soles of Dana's cleats matched her uniform, so I used a select color treatment-such fun!













We had a great day with great weather, and Dana got some great shots with her new dark hair!
