Todd and Anna's Wedding

Last weekend we had the pleasure of working with Todd and Anna on their wedding day. Todd and Anna were a joy to work with, as was everyone at The White Farm in Brockport.

Here are some of our favorites from their day!

As always, we start with the rehearsal:

Instead of using a minister, Todd and Anna had their friend Jeff officiate the ceremony. So cool!

Anna's brother, Jason, giving us his best "blue steel".

We were with Todd and Anna at the beginning of the next day to get some prep shots:

Anna mentally rehearsing her vows. Writing your own vows can be daunting, but in Todd and Anna's case, it was totally worth it - their vows were lovely, sweet, and perfectly customized to them!

Todd helps out his groomsmen, who did not have the tie-tying skills that he does:

The boys, just waiting for the show to begin!

Todd and Anna were blessed with good weather, so they were able to have their ceremony on the front lawn of the estate:

Todd and Anna took a wedding tradition from the Society of Friends, and sat for a while, to give their friends and family an opportunity to share their own thoughts and feelings. It was a very emotional and heart-felt moment in the ceremony.

A foot-popping kiss - Anna's signature move!

Right after the ceremony, we snuck off with Todd and Anna to get some quick portraits before the reception. The White Farm is such a lovely place, and it was easy to find lots wonderful backgrounds:

Then it was off to the reception:

Anna is quite the dancer (for real!) and she had a great time on the dance floor:

Anna's grandmother provided homemade cheesecake brownies (yum!) in lieu of a traditional wedding cake.

Here are some of our favorite detail shots from the day:

Anna wore this stunning necklace, which has an equally stunning background. Anna's great-great grandfather worked for the Sultan of Johor, and one of his jobs was training the Sultan's racehorses. To congratulate him on a particularly successful racehorse, the Sultan commissioned a pocket watch for him, and a matching necklace for his wife. This necklace has been given to the first daughter for five generations, and Anna is the third woman in her family (after her mother and her grandmother) to wear the necklace on her wedding day!

We had a great time with Todd and Anna, their family and friends. It was a lovely day, and Todd and Anna made it very special for everyone there with their attention to detail and unique touches.

Cory and Kelly's Wedding

We recently had the distinct pleasure of shooting Cory and Kelly's wedding. Their outdoor location matched their personalities perfectly - fun and laid-back! It was a pleasure to work with them, and with their family and friends. Here are a few of our favorites of the day:

As always, we started with a casual coverage of the rehearsal:

I love this picture - when I was a teenager, we used to play this very game ("move the big guy by any means necessary!") with my brother all the time:

We started bright and early the next morning with the girls getting ready:

The ceremony was so pretty, and they could not have had better weather for it:

After the ceremony, we grabbed some portraits:

Then it was off to the party!

Kelly had asked Cory to spin her at the end of their first dance. To Kelly, this meant that dance move where you put your hands over the girl's head and lead her in a twirl. Cory, however, took a more literal approach:

While Cory and Kelly's ceremony was simple and sweet, their reception was all about fun - Kelly picked some amazing details:

Rock candy suckers for place cards:

A chocolate truffle cake:

Each table had different types of flowers in their own unique arrangement:

After the reception was well underway, we ran off with Cory and Kelly for some portraits of just the two of them:

Kelly really wanted a portrait with the cows, and so Cory indulged her:

Kelly really loves the ring that Cory gave her, and she wanted some really different and unique shots above and beyond the traditional ring shots:

Cory's mother had given him a pocket watch, and he wanted a picture of it displaying the date:

The night was capped off with sparklers on the lawn - a perfect ending to an amazing and beautiful day!
