David and Rhonda's Custom Lego Wedding Invitations

I was recently contacted by a lovely woman named Rhonda, who was interested in having custom Lego wedding invitations made. Lego invitations are one of my favorite things to do - who wouldn't love getting to play with Lego all day?

Our Lego wedding invitations are unique and memorable, because we custom create every photo to match the bride and groom perfectly. We not only take personal appearance in mind, but personality and hobbies as well. We can even include other important family members or loved ones!

For Rhonda, her fiery red hair and love of knitting made for a really fun photo representing her:

For Rhonda's fiance David, we focused on his penchant for technology and his beloved baseball hat to create a photo that represents him well:

And then of course came the fun part - the wedding photo!

The reception photo allows us to have fun, and also to include family. David is a fan of LOTR, so Gandalf made a surprise visit to the reception!

Rhonda decided on a gate style card - a very smart decision for this style of invitation. Gate style cards have two thin folds in the front (the "gates") that open to a larger opening in the center. Since the ceremony and the reception were held in the same place, we decided to put the wedding photo and the reception photo on the main invitation.

Here is the final layout of their invitations (invitation information blurred):

We had so much fun working with Rhonda to provide her with something perfectly personalized to her and her fiance.

The best part about this design is that it is infinitely customizable! If you would like more information please email us at perezsisters@gmail.com

New Birthday Invitation Designs

This past week I received a request from Jami, a long-time customer, for birthday invitations. Her mother is turning 70, and she wanted to honor her with a brunch. Such an important occastion, and so standard invitations just wouldn't do!

We were able to create an invitation that Jami and her family adored. As with all of our design work, we gave them a few options to work with. Even though Jami went with the pink design, maybe you like the green design better!

PHOTO FLASHBACK: old-school wedding invitation set

We've been very very busy lately, as some of you know. We'll talk about what we've been up to soon, I promise! But first I wanted to get August's Photo Flashback out of the way.

A lot of people have been emailing us lately, surprised that we do custom graphic design, as well as photographic services. A lot of you said you'd like to see some more design work, so I went into the archives to find the most recent wedding stationery set I've done.

It just so happens that these invitations are based on car ads from the early 1900's, making it a double flashback! Enjoy.

Electric Invitations

I was recently commissioned to create invitations and matching thank you cards for a topping out party for an electrician. They didn't really have any idea in mind for what they wanted, other than they wanted them to be related to the electrician field somehow, and they wanted something completely unique - something noone else will ever have had (a request we get a lot!).

I love when I have free reign over an idea, because it gives me the opportunity to be creative with out any restraints.

As anyone who has seen my lego invitations - or other graphic design pieces I've done - can attest, I like to anthropomorphise. I decided to create some electric characters for these invitations:

After I had my photographs, I edited them a little (especially the plug - he looked so sad!) and put them as the main design elements in the stationery pieces.

We all were very pleased with how these turned out. They are fun and put a smile on my face each time I look at them!
