SuperGeorge & His Guitars

Earlier this season we shot senior portraits for George. George is a practical kind of guy, and didn't want to go traipsing all over the city for different locations. He wanted us to find one location with multiple backgrounds in one general area. We suggested the Highland area, which George agreed to. We ended up at the Poet's Garden and the flower conservatory.

Here are some of our favorite shots from the day:

George is a really tall guy, and I wanted to emphasize that in this shot:

At one point during the shoot, George and his mother, who had joined us, began to whisper conspiratorially with each other. Melinda and I were a bit nervous, but we had no need to be! George wanted us to do give him some super-hero treatment, and we were only too happy to oblige!

Here is the raw image with no touch-ups:

And here is the photo that George was envisioning, that we created for him, after the fact, in post-production:

The angle and composition of this photo made it perfect for an artistic effect:

George is a musician, and he wanted his senior portraits to reflect that. He brought both of his guitars to shoot with:

The reflection of the sky and the silhouette of the trees in George's guitar were so lovely, I had to give this photo a select color treatment:

For the last photo of the day, George gave us his best Captain Morgan pose:

We had a great time, we had GREAT WEATHER, and George and his mother loved his photos. All of George's friends loved his photos too - especially his Superman photo!
